    Video Grabber

    Morning All,

My VCR is showings its age and before it finally gives up the ghost i have quite a few home videos (holidays, Weddings etc) that i want to transfer onto DVD.

I have been looking online at different ways of achieving this and was wondering if anybody has used USB Video Grabber devices and if so, could you recommend any of them?

Do they work on iMAC? Could also be used on XP and Vista.

    Regards

    Alan

I bought a cheapo one from Aldi. Couldn't get it to work. Then I bought a DVD recorder, and used that. Panasonic DMR-EZ27. Records from SCART input, so will record TV too. Works fine, good quality, but no hard drive, which some prefer to have.

I don't have a free hack to play Region 1, forgot to check that first. But it got the copying job done with no hassle.

PS I waited until the VCR had given up the ghost, so I had to buy one of those too. I recommend not waiting that long.
