    27" Monitors

I really want one of these babies and I'm seriously looking at the Dell ultrasharp 2709

Anyone got one of these and how do you rate them?
Who has time? Who has time? But then if we do not ever take time, how can we ever have time?

OK so failing a Dell, any other recommendations?

Dunno if they do a 27" but my Samsung Syncmaster T240 is lovely. Has 3 different inputs (analogue, digital & hdmi) and a really nice colour tone.

TFT Central is worth a look - it's run by a moderator of the OcUK Monitors forum (also worth a look).
Where are we going? And what’s with this hand basket?

I am sat in front of a cheap Digimate 24" widescreen (an ebuyer special) at my client site which MyCo has bought for me to plug my laptop into - and it is very nice.

Personally I think 22-24 is about the optimum size, any bigger and it's like sitting at the front of the cinema where you have to move your head side to side in order to see what’s going on.

I went for a 22” 16:9 which seems a bit odd at first as most wide screen monitors are 16:10, it has HDMI so I may find another use for it in the future as a dedicated movie screen.

I have had the 27" dell ultrasharp for 5 months now. The first week I was sure it was too big. Now I love it and hate using anything smaller. Being able to have multiple documents avaialable for easy copy paste actions is a breeze.

Also playing games in a window whilst seeing new mail / messenger info is also so intuitive.

Expensive but as a contractor worth the small number of hours needed to earn it.

I have dual 20 inch DELL monitors and I am pretty happy with that, 3200 * 1200.

Cost myCo 800 quid about 4 years ago.
