    too many windows XP updates

I know Vista is bad but XP seems to be getting worse for frequent windows update too, I think I've already had 2 in the past 2 weeks and there is a 248M download for .NET Framework 3.5 SP1 waiting as a High Priority Update.

Glad that didn't download automatically on this slow hotel wireless I'll have to wait 'til I'm home over night to let that one loose, no doubt the same thing is waiting for the desktop and OH's Vista laptop too.

Download it on client site and use http://www.windowsupdatesdownloader.com/ if you can. Makes life a lot easier.

I absolutely hate to admit that anybody is right, but scooterscot is right. Ever since I got a Mac recently, I've had a smile on my face Same kind of smile as when I got my first contract, or my first fast car.

thanks I'll have to investigate that site. In meantime can't even get a decent response from browsing the internet on client site so downloading will have to wait - maybe the world internet is slow 'cos a few million windows machines are trying to download this stupid thing?
