    Stick with XP.
I also find XP startup times are faster - and IE doesn't crash or hang on XP - I am plagued with this on my wife's Vista.
This default font is sooooooooooooo boring and so are short usernames

Long live XP! Does all I need it to - why would I want to change?

I thought it was the DRM slowing things down, not indexing....

According to Mark Russinovich there are some performance and scalability improvements in the Windows 7 kernel. Having used it for the last few weeks it does appear to be much quicker than Vista from what I've seen so far.

I use Vista all day, every day. 100% fast and reliable never had any application crash.

I think the problem is the idiots that use it don't have a ******* clue.
