    OS Software

    Hi

Where is a good (cheap) place to buy OS Software? I'm looking at Win XP Pro or Win Server 2003?

Should I also be considering Vista Business instead?

At the risk of getting flamed again - Ubuntu is free. Vista is fine provided you have a fast enough processor and enough ram (I don't in spite of my Vista being OEM loaded).

    I'd have a look on eBay :-)

I have an old Dell laptop running Ubuntu and it's ok for surfing but thats about it.

This laptop needs to run windows for the business applications I use.

Indeed it is! But I'm a little concerned with the license key situation if I did that.

I hear there are "special third party editions" of Windows floating around...

I believe there are some "off-site backups" floating around as well.
Where are we going? And what’s with this hand basket?
