Usually the toner cartridges that come supplied with the pirnter are only "starter" packs and are at most 20% full

I wondered about that. My HP colour laser has been going over a year on it's original toners. The "blobs" display started off showing 100% full rather than 20%.

ok - they will be "full", but the size of the toner container will be smaller
