The El_Diablo office needs a new laser printer...

Ladies and gents sadly my current laser printer has died may it rest in peace in the land of dead lasers.

I'm looking at Kyocera's, any good?

Need something that has good toner life and not too big, small footprint and must have a NIC.

Anyone have any recommendations if you've purchased one recently?

    TIA

Got a Samsung 3560ND recently. It is fast, duplexes and has a NIC. We've had it for 8 months and have yet to change the toner..mind you for the first 2 months we didn't use it very much.

You don't mention whether you are after B&W or colour so I'm I'm initially assuming the former.

I bought a Samsung ML-2010 recently and am very pleased with it.

Main reason for buying this model was because it was mis-priced at Staples at £40 instead of £80 but the specs are in line with entry level B&W lasers but has no nic.

Staples were also clearing out their display stock and had the Brother HL-2150N or the previous model for £60 which was a good deal but I was able to live without a nic and opted for the new Samsung.

If it's colour, the HP Color LaserJet 1600 was on offer and now seems to be about £100. I'd say it has the same base footprint as one of the above but is obviously taller. You'll need to get a jetdirect box to network it but these can be picked up on eBay quite cheaply but you need to check if the printer will support it first.

Afternoon all, looks like I will be checking out some printers this weekend,

Clippy it was just a B&W I'm looking at, for now.

        Cheers!
