dumb Firefox question

Can anyone help with what is probably a really basic question but it has me stumped! When I right click and save as, nothing happens (ie file not saved). Issue does not arise with IE. This only affects one PC in the office. Have been through settings/options plenty of times with no affect. What do I need to do?

Try in the following order (I would):
Reboot
Reinstall (clear chrome settings dir somewhere)
Install newer/different version (such as Firefox 3 beta 5) - very stable IMO
Check windows policies
Reinstall windows
