In limbo during phone number porting

I've transferred numbers with a PAC code many times but the latest one today seems to have gone wrong.

Usually the old SIM gets cut off then within a couple of hours the new one starts working. What has actually happened is that the new SIM (on T-Mobile) now has the transferred number for outing calls but incoming calls are still going to the old SIM on Orange.

T-Mobile tell me this is normal and it will be complete within 24 hours but I am sceptical. Anyone else ever has this situation? Has someone forgotten to do something?

If I remember rightly, this happened to me (Orange to Vodafone).

It was all sorted the following day though, you will need to restart your phone(s) at some point.

      Thats perfectly normal GM.

Like you, I've also transferred numbers a few times. I did my Orange to T-Mobile a couple of months ago.

Both sims do stay active for a period of time. Just be patient and keep both phones switched on until the incoming calls start re-routing to the new moby.

By the morning the Orange sim will have died completely and you'll have full service on the T-Moby one.
