Is this the best deal going?

For some reason I would prefer Orange - if anyone knows of any better deals with Orange, or any others please share!

do not go with the three network - they are useless.

I've got the 3G Vodafone deal, with 7.5Mbps Express card - after some initial (Vista related) issues, it's been flawless. Even the GPRS connection is useable. All major cities I have visited have had sufficient 3G coverage and at that speed it's not much slower than being at home. All in all, extremely satisfied.

I thought that three were now ok, and used to be bad?

A lot of difference between £15 and £25 a month....

My mobile is due for renewal soon - with Orange. Any benefit in packaging both together, or, am I just as well to go for a Blackberry type thing with internet access included?

#I just signed with 3 network. 300mix'n'match mins for £15. Plus a few bonus extras, 300extramins for 3 to 3 calls, 4000 skype-skype mins and ree surfing on e-bay site and windows live messeger.

Signal seems ok so far. Call centre is in India though

I only need occassional access twice a week or so.

With this in mind, would this be good?

Main thing is to get a modem at a good price - happy to go onto a contract later if I need to....

I'm using a 3G modem with three at the moment - no problems.

The modem is slower than the Vodafone maximum speed is, but Vodafone don't have the network to support the top speed over a large area of the country.

Not sure what the deal is, as I haven't followed the link in the OP, but I have no real problems with the three modem. As long as you don't need to talk to their customer service team, you'll be fine...

This thread here has some more info on this. I'm quite happy with my 3G mobile broadband on "3".
