Photoshop, wide-screen monitor and aspect ratios.

    Unless you intend to do loads of photoshop stuff on the laptop I'm not sure why you need the extra memory.

    This iMac only has 1GB and flies though standard office related applications.

    If you intend to dual boot into Vista then, obviously, you will benefit from the extra memory.

    Actually, I havn't checked whether the standard MacBooks have an external video out. Yep, looks like they do. This would be a must for me. Just connect the laptop to a decent screen at home or the office.
