As soon as the install was complete I shut the VM down properly and backed up the Virtual Machine directory, now if i break the installation i can quickly revert back to the fresh installation.

That's my plan - once I get it working, back it up. Then get Oracle working on it - then back it up.

There's a job for next weekend.

I do plan to, i just wanted a fail safe backup first before I cock things up later
