http://local.live.com is the Microsoft equivalent. Much better for close up images and you can turn the view to look from the North,South,East or West.

Weird, the Aerial view has my house as it was but the Bird's eye view has it with the extension on it.

The birds eye views tend to be updated quite frequently.
