Have you ever wanted to remove some Windows components like Media Player, Internet Explorer, Outlook Express, MSN Explorer, Messenger...
How about not even to install them with Windows ?
nLite is a GUI for permanent Windows component removal by your choice. After removal there is an option to make bootable image ready for burning on cd or testing in virtual machines. With nLite you will be able to have Windows installation which on install doesn't include, or even contain on cd, unwanted components.

Faced with a rebuild of my PC, I decided to make an n-lite bootable installation.
Prior to formatting my PC, I created a folder from the original XP Pro Disk (SP1), a folder containing SP2, a folder for hotfixes post SP2-2, and a folder for drivers.
Nlite performed the slipstream for me. It then ran me through comprehensive tickboxes of all components within the installation. I unticked all the cr@p, like messenger, and other components.
N-lite then gave me the option to add specifc drivers and hardware, so I threw all these in as well, to save time having to manually install them later.
N-lite finished off with a comprehensive selection of how I want my Windows O/S to behave post installation. Eg, no animated windowing, classic start menu, and much much more.
N-lite created a .iso of the whole image, which I then burned with Nero.
With baited breath, I began my installation of XP Pro.
8 minutes later, I had a complete and fully functoning PC.
So there you go. Can't speak highly enough of it.
