    thought if you heated to above the Currie point then that would destroy all data

      I keep my dodgy DVD's in the microwave with a stick between the front door and the start button. Any unexpected visitors and 2 seconds later there wasted. It's the only way to be sure.

        Yes they can. I did some work at a place where hard drives from classified comms kits are destoryed. You aint getting no data from those drives.
