    Cache

I recently changed the index page of one of my sites and published it.

Try as I may, I have been unable to view from my PC the updated page.

I cleared all the cache ( by going into internet, tools and deleted all cookies, history file register etc...).

Somehow my PC seems to be holding the previous page and I am unable to find where it is.

I know it is not at the ISP level, as from my laptop I can view the updated page.

Any suggestions as to what I can do?

    Thanks

First I presume you're using Internet Explorer, as that one in particular has known problems with caching.

For instance it can quite happily ignore pragma no-cache tags.

Try pressing the Ctrl key and then pressing refresh in you're browser...if that cures the problem you've got a caching problem somewhere

      re:cache

I thought it was the shift key ?

other answer is install another browser. I use opera but firefox has quite a following. It is always a good idea to check that your pages are not doing anything too ie specific anyway. There are plenty of non-m$ users about.

        AMCD,

        Brilliant, it worked.

Thanks a lot. I used the Ctrl key and refresh.

        Whats in a name,

Thanks for your advice as well.

In numbers maybe - as a % - no way.

Does depend on your target audience though - Joe Public is MS virtually 100% with some using Macs - only enthusiasts (geeks?) use linux/alternate browsers/etc.

If you've got a website take a look at your stats.
