We all know that by using something like Access as the DB engine for a website, it will collapse under not too many requests placed on it.
Thereas say mySQL will handle mass requests extremely adequately.
My question is what actually is the technical explanation for this ?
Is it to do with intelligently handled indexing and intelligently handled record & index block locking ? What else ?
