    CLSID reg keys

    Would deleting these cause problems for XP?

    I was running registry mechanic and it kept getting stuck on a various CLSID keys in the registry so I exported them all to a file and deleted the ones from the registry, reg mechanic ran fine after this but the problem I have now is I can't put the keys back as windows reports that they are being used by open programs? I tried this from boot in safe mode and I get the same message should I worry?

    I read somewhere that they are just an ID to speed processes up, will windows recreate them?
