As a bit of sidework at the moment I've been building a simple app which deals with PDFs. One of the features I wanted to provide was that I could display thumbnails of all the PDFs that the user is working with.
Having a full version of Acrobat and the SDK this seemed a trivial task, a few API calls and such like, but unfortunately it seems there's no easy way to redistribute, i.e the components only work if the client installs the whole caboodle themselves, i.e Acrobat Pro.
I've tried using the windows thumbnail calls as an alternative, but again the API refuses to do PDFs.
Anyone know a way round this?
