I have both Echo and Dot and they stream Radio using TuneIn ( you don't have to login to TuneIn, even if you have an account).
The Dot has a 3.5mm audio connector and can connect to an existing set of powered speakers, or to an amplifier using it, or to any Bluetooth speaker.I was an IPSE Consultative Council Member, until the BoD abolished it. I am not an IPSE Member, since they have no longer have any relevance to me, as an IT Contractor.
