    Wobbly display

Ok - no idea why but I have a 19" trinitron here that has all of a sudden started displaying wobbly. It sort of ripples all across at what looks to be approximately 50Hz . It really ****s with your eyesight.

There is nothing near the monitor that's kicking out EM radiation and the cable hasn't moved either.

    Bin it job?

      Dust inside it ?

Give it a thump, usually works.

sounds like a loose connection in the monitor cable, a wiggle normally fixes it for a while but if it happens again I would suggest trying another monitor cable

I never liked lead free solder - didn't smell right.

ironically, it started again for an hour or so and promptly stopped again. I noticed that the monitor itself was actually wobbling very slightly (!). So much for ******* great big electromagnets.

Yes 100% - the table is perfectly still (big oak thing). The monitor sits there wobbling slightly! Strange!

Are you sure, you're not having a seizure?
