Auto Document Storage/Retrieval?

Hi Guys,

At my last company we had a system that would upload all your work to one of the servers. Basically it would sync the documents on your laptop and server so that if one was updated in the user area it would be downloaded if one on the laptop was updated it would be uploaded.

It was rubbish. Even trying to run access from it would crash the server. I am looking for something very similar but not rubbish.

The basic set up is I have my home work station, my laptop (used most of the time) and a FreeBSD server. I have a network drive set up (or SFTP drive) and need a program that can sync these files on this drive to the laptop.

I dont have nor want a windows server so it has to be nix based or even beter just a program that runs on the laptop.

Ideas?

Cool thanks for that but I used a power toy from MS which does the same but without the "part of windows live" service.

learn something everyday, I've not used it for ages, turns out MS bought the company a year ago, longer than that since I used it.....hence now the windows live gubbins

Subversion code repositories can be made accessible via HTTP by using Apache mod_dav_svn.so. A nice front end on your Windows laptop could be TortoiseSVN http://tortoisesvn.tigris.org.

When building the FreeBSD port for usr/ports/devel/subversion use WITH_MOD_DAV_SVN=1.
