How to wreck XP very quickly ?

I've got the feeling I'm going to be given the flick at my place soon. Which wouldn't be so bad as I've had enough anyway. The incompetence is something else.

If I'm given the heave-ho I would really expect to be given a couple of weeks notice but if I was given rather less: how would I wreck my XP desktop installations so all private / non-corporate info would remain out of their view ?

Ideally I'd re-image the machines but there may not be time.

Is there any quick batchfile or deletion that would zap the PCs? I'm thinking altering/deleting ntldr/boot.ini etc and hitting restart might do the trick ?

If you are given the boot I would expect that you are escorted off site and not allowed back onto the IT systems at all.

I find the best way to screw up XP is to turn on Automatic Updates.....

Use encrypted disk drive with very strong password that you need to enter upon mounting that should really be manual.

Best of all not to use work PC for personal things, especially if your internal position is not strong.

I use sftpdrive running a connection to home for anything that I dont want other people to find. Manual password entry with it. Should I ever have to leave I can SSH in from anywhere (even my phone) and change my password and I'm safe.

I use quantum encryption on my holographic disk drive - it is unbreakable.

If you really think you might be walking, clean it now and do a couple of different algorithim defrags of the hard disk overnight.

Alternatively, use PGP and store things in a directory marked 'Temp'.

Dont keep it on there in the first place is the first thought though. I currently use an iPod or PDA with a big SD card for such things.

I find installing AOL on any Windows machine normally makes it inoperable very quickly.

Don't you think you're being unprofessional though. Thats probably why they are going to kick you off site.

Plus. I hope you name isn't Angela D - bit dim to post on a board using your name that you plan to wreck a clients machine.

Was about to say something similar. There's no need to put anything personal onto a client's machine. If you must do personal stuff, do it at lunchtime on your own laptop.

Thinking about that did you get escorted offsite from ITV Earlier Angelia?
