Is the 2k barrier for VAT for a single item or for a single purchase (that might include multiple items)?
I would advise you to forget Windows 7, it's going out of support next year. So the sooner you can get used to win 8.1 the better.
Lake already stated by others the pinnacle of quality is the MacBookPro although you will have to install the Windows additionally so it's not exactly out of the box.Comment

Plenty powerful, fantastic display and wafer thin.
Also, if you can get it from John Lewis, accidental damage cover is £100 for three years which is second only to Dells next business day offering.Comment
