    Hi there CUK people, i originally joined 5/6 years ago while working Perm in london, moved into a short term contract role there (which is where i came across the CUK site ) and then met someone in Germany.... hence the inactivity

    now ive said my bit ill go back to prowling in the background lol

    It's rarely that simple. If the market's tough just do the contracts no-one else wants to do which often involves a bit of travel or staying away in the week. It's not that bad once you get used to it. Some will allow home working on Friday so you get to go home on Thursday night, some involve driving >100 miles each way etc. The more contracts you do the more your reputation increases which makes the next one easier.
