    I might add that I have had the experience of describing my situation as employee of MyCo Ltd to the building society, and them having no problem with that but insisting "we describe that as self-employed". Not much you can do if the lender has their own definitions of words.

    Have you asked your umbrella company? Usually they will have a specialist mortgage provider that they work with

    Are you employed by Parasol or by the client or do you employ yourself?

    If you can't answer this you don't deserve to hold the responsibility of having a mortgage IMO.

    On a MA when it asks for employers details would these be the umbrella company (Parasol) or the company my current contract is with?

    Or are you officially self employed in this situation?

    I have been with Parasol continuously for 3+ years but in my current contract for only 1 year.

    Any ideas?
