    Employers NICs Increase

For those who are working via an umbrella company, it might be worth being aware that as of 6th April 2025, the ERs NICs will increase from 13.8% of your taxable salary to 15%, not only that but the threshold at which this kicks in has been lowered - a double whammy for contractor.

So for those of you who may be able to negotiate a rate increase, you should be looking at around a 1.7% increase on your rate to cover this legislative change.

Hopefully this is useful for you all even if not for now, maybe at extension point?
