    Non Coded Income for 20/21

    Hello,

Was Ltd employee until 31st March 2020. Changed to Umbrella on 1st April. Gave them P45 etc. All seems fine.

HMRC have e-mailed saying Tax Code has changed - logged into GOV Gateway - it hasn't and looks correct(the standard one). Within PAYE section it has "Non Coded Income" as circa 30K.

I've never heard of this before, should I ask HMRC to remove it? It is assuming I would have 30k of dividends in 20/21 as that was roughly what I had in previous tax years? Does it matter? For Self Assssment I know it often assumes next years tax bill, is that all it is?

I don't expect to have any dividends in 20/21. I will have SA to do as i have a very small income from rental.

    Thanks

Working...
