The trouble with the MS qualifications is how easy it is to get hold of so called "braindumps" containing the actual test questions and answers. A permie I used to work with, who was largely incompetent, managed to get the complete MCPD using this method (and openly admitted it to me for some odd reason!
).

MS exams were certainly pretty easy when I did them years ago, and they had a pretty poor reputation because of this. A lot of companies liked their employees to do them because it helped them gain partner status with MS.
I *believe* MS have tried to make them harder and more credible, but whether that is really true or not I do not know.
