I use it all the time with no problems.

Yes Dropbox is great. But 2GB vs the 65GB I now have for free on Drive.Originally posted by russell View PostPrefer dropbox, as it has the best clients for every device/os. Doesn't mess about trying to convert your files to it's own format, or scan you files then advertise.
Actually the main reason I was using it is for some bizarre reason my new Moto G phone won't install APK files from Dropbox, only from Drive.

Good job Drive doesn't either, unless you tell it to. Although I do agree for file-syncing alone, DB seems neater. Drive is better when you want to view the files online though.

Works fine for me, I uploaded basically my dad's entire "My documents" after he died, since my mum is computer illiterate and I wanted to make sure it didn't get lost.

Google Drive
Anyone successfully used it?
I tried yesterday. First attempt worked okay; uploaded something to the web interface and it appeared on my phone. Then I tried uploading a file that already existed, and it gave me two copies of the same file with the same name rather than replacing the older one with the newer.
So then I installed the PC software to see if that worked any better, and that then got some of the files but not all. Then I deleted everything through the web interface, which was obviously a big mistake as now nothing works. I have the PC folder, the web interface, and the Android app all showing three completely different sets of files and no amount of refreshing or deleting of caches will make it sync anything to anything.
I'm amazed. This has been around for a while, and with it being a company as big as Google how can it be so completely broken? Buggy round the edges perhaps, not as good as Dropbox perhaps, but this is totally unfit for purpose.
