Had a bash at fixing this last night, but no go. The screwed partion was ext3, but e2fsck just threw up errors to do with magic blocks or super number or something I can't quite remember.
Anyway, re-installed it & used separate partitions for / & /home which should make it easier in the future.

Yes but not all of us were so geeky goth that we wore matrix t-shirts from cyberdog down slimelight whilst doing large quantities of speed whilst being pissed on because we were so f*cked that we didn't realise we were vomiting half a bottle of vodka down the middle floor urinals
Ironically I met my wife that night.

Ooooh
No goatee, no real ale but despite any personal websites I have made not having a black background with white writing (my eyes are still bleeding from the link above) yes, I too hang my head in shame as I was once a goth
I have my Sisters of Mercy t-shirts somewhere, they probably still smell of incence too...

Do you also have a little real ale in your beard, which you spilt at lunchtime?Originally posted by ferretI like the way no-one complained about being labelled a 'sandal wearer'!
Under my sandals I have nice white socks with blue and red bands around them and just a sprinkling of athelete's foot powder in them.

Cheers for the advice. I couldn't be arsed to try it out over the weekend, but should hopefully do it this week.
If all else fails, perhaps I'll use Ardesco's first-rate tip
