Phone still eating a lot of data even on wi-fi, my previous phone was Andriod same apps and it didn't eat as much of this. I noticed on my home wi-fi usage there is now 2gig of upload to, I've never upload so confused about this any ideas ?
Also anyone with an S3 noticed the sound quality on calls is not great, to me it sounds like the volume is too low but it was the highest setting it could be, any ideas ?

Get the Timerrific app. I use it to automatically switch off Wifi from 8AM and put it into flight mode at midnight so am not disturbed by drunk texts from mates.

If you don't want the phone to use WIFI then turn it off.
The icon is on the main screen.
If you don't want it to use mobile data then turn it off.
Look under settings.
Oh and I very rarely look at mobile video when out and about even though I have unlimited data, I only look at it when I'm in a place where I can connect to their Wifi.

Have to say though was surprised how much mine downloads when I got it but I came from an N900 which was about a much use as a house brick so was a shock how much goes on in the background.
I don't bother watching what it downloads though to be honest. It isn't gigs n gigs and I have an alert set just incase it gets silly but seems fine so far.

Samsung S3 sucking up mobile and wifi data
Hi,
A week ago I upgraded from an old school andriod phone to a Samsung S3, Ive noticed that the S3 on both mobile data and wifi is sucking up data big time much more than my old phone.
The mobile data I tracked it down to Facebook and changed some settings.
The wifi data Ive tracked down to youTube anyone know if there is a setting in youTube Andriod I can change so it doesnt down load the videos in such high quality resolution ? I noticed when I had viewed youtube on my phone sometimes I could see an HD icon so I assume its HD video, can I change my phone so I do watch these in HD, Ive had alook for a setting but can't find one.
