Nah, all the desktop processors have been 64bit for a long time. It just took the operating systems a while to support them mainstream.

That's interesting, but it's a shame they don't (like the Dell site) show the prices of all the different options.Originally posted by Fred Bloggs View PostIf you don't want to build your own I can recommend these guys- PC Specialist. You get to choose the components on line which gets you the spec you want without the hassle of building it. I generally build my own but I have sometimes found these guys supply ready built for less than than I can build my own. HTH.
Is it still possible to buy a 32-bit PC?

I have found that using those guys, DIY is often the same as buying ready built.Originally posted by Cliphead View PostGood call on that link, Looking over some specs right now.

Novatech do a range of pre-built PC's with varying specs. I bought one and have been very pleased with it:
PC Components, Desktop PCs, Laptops, LCD TVs & Computer Hardware

64 bit PC recommendations
Time for a new desktop, I'm thinking of going for a brand name this time as much as I like geeking around with hardware when they go tits up - I'd rather pass on a cheapo Frankenstein this time round.
So I'm looking at the HP Pavilion Elite HPE-350uk and HP Pavilion Elite HPE-380uk so far, can see them quite a bit cheaper than the HP site here and here.
Just need the box - no screen/keyboards/mice etc.
