Is the site they are hosted on under your control at all? Just need to configure the webserver MIME types to is knows what program .xlsm files should be opened with. Know how to do this on Apache but from your previous posts think you are a Windows Server user?

HTML links to spreedsheets open as zips

Trying to put a page on website with links to accounts sheets for the other director. These are excel 2007 .xlsm files but when you click on the link they open as Zip files!

Any ways round that apart from save them all as 2003 .xls sheets or rename them and get her to rename them back? She is totally untechnical.

    Cheers.
