I would guess it's quicker channel changing. The sync problems are probably because it doesn't buffer enough data to get the audio & video elemental streams properly synced up, or to properly recover the program clock, or something like that.

Fast Zapping

I've got a Dream Box 550 DVB-C digital receiver, and the audio was going out of sync with the image. So I did a little google and found that switching of Fast Zapping would fix the problem. But... what is fast zapping? And why does it cause sync problems?
