scanning/DM software?

Since I've reinstalled XP, I've been able to reload all my programs apart from PaperPort (I was sure I had the licence no.. ).

I was going to just get the latest version of PP, but having read some terrible reviews I think I'll give something else a go.

Any recommendations?
