We have a Logitech Quick Cam Pro 9000 which does similar. Problem occured with windows updates turned on, one of the updates seemed to stop it working. Turned off auto-updates and rolled it back to a restore point before the updates. Working ok since.

Anyone had trouble with Logitech Webcam?

I have a Logitech USB Webcam on the daughters Vista PC that until fairly recently worked OK. Recently (I guess something has "updated" itself) when ever Vista starts up the Logitech software falls over. Like this-

Google reveals a small number of similar issues and the only "fix" seems to be by Logitech who say "Do a clean install like this"-

To Boot Clean in Windows Vista

Accessing the System Configuration Utility

1. Click Start and select Control Panel
2. Click System and Mantience
3. Click Administrative Tools
4. Double Click System Configuration

Configure Selective Startup options

1. On the General tab, choose Selective Startup
2. Uncheck Load Startup Items
3. Select the Services tab
4. Check Hide all Microsoft services
5. Click Disable all
6. Click on OK
7. Click Restart.

After performing the necessary steps, restore your system by doing the following:

1. Click Start and select Control Panel
2. Click System and Mantience
3. Click Administrative Tools
4. Double click System Configuration
5. On the General tab, choose Normal Startup
6. Click Ok
7. Click Yes, when asked to restart your computer

Of course, it doesn't work. Anyone else seen similar issues before? I've looked for generic Vista Web Cam drivers to try but can't seem to find any. Thanks.
