Although, some might say the reviewing abilities of someone who can't figure out how to download a file are not perhaps any damn use at all

How to stop Firefox saving downloads to the desktop
Firefox is infinitely better than that heap of bug-ridden junk Internet Explorer. But one feature about it drives me potty - When you download a file, it saves it to the desktop.
Now I like to confine my desktop to program shortcuts, and it's cluttered enough as it is and very hard to find new entries added at random between existing icons.
So as soon as Firefox has added a new downloaded file there, I have to go to the desktop, copy and paste it into the required folder via File Explorer, and then delete the shortcut from the desktop.
I was wondering if anyone knows of an option or add-on that would make Firefox always pop up a file-save box for file downloads, as it already does for page saves.Tags: None
