Reasonable prices and easy to use for numpties (and bells & whistles, including alerts)

    Easy peesy file management

    Hi all,

I'm looking for an easy online file management/version control tool that fits the following basic requirements:

    a) All online
    b) Allows folder structures
    c) Every time a document is uploaded to a certain folder, a certain person gets an automatic alert.

That's it - that simple! It'll be used by non techie people, spread around the country, with all kinds of firewall setups, so needs to be really p*** easy to use. I don't have the facility/budget to get one made bespoke (although it does sound kinda easy to put together).

I've already looked at Project Place, which does the basics, but doesn't have an automatic alert system (you'd have to do it manually, which is not a huge problem, but not ideal). I got a quote from Project Place and it's a bit steep. So I'm looking for other options.

Any ideas? Anything you used before that you liked?

    Thanks in advance,

    maui
