Problems uploading images

Started having problems uploading any but the smallest images to websites using Filezilla or the uploader provided by the hosters. The image is either not visible or is incomplete although it is reported as being of the correct size in Filezilla. On the other hand, using Windows Explorer to upload always seems to work ok.

Anyone got any ideas what might have gone wrong? Cheers.
