sleep.exe has been around a lot longer than the 2k3 resource kit - it was part of the NT3.5 reskit from links I can see - and I can remember it from around then as well!
Should be easy enough to get hold of.... out on a variety of websites.

Good grief, thought I was CUK's old fart. (After zeitghost of course) Agree with last. Also can you use GOTO, IF and TIME somehow?

As DOS is shi*e there's no native way of doing it.

You'll need sleep.exe from the 2003 res kit.

    Insert pause in batch file

I'm writing a DOS batch file, and want it to pause for 5 seconds between two particular instructions, but I'm buggered if I can find a way to do it.

    Any ideas?
