I have a Sky link from my games room to my bedroom. The Sky engineer came round and connected the Sky+ box to the upstairs TV via a Coax, and connected a "magic eye" that allows me to control the Sky+ box from the bedroom.
You can buy something similar :-

I used one a couple of years ago, but WiFi would interfere: I'd get a horizontal line moving slowly down through the picture, so I'd have to switch off my router every time I wanted to use it. Okay back then as not many people had WiFi, but now at least five of my neighbours do.Originally posted by zeitghostSo far as I'm aware, they all work on 2.4GHz... which is handy with 700W transmitters about (microwave ovens) and WiFi...

Buy a slingbox,
Then you can also watch it at work whilst you while away your permiedom.

I've tried to use video senders before, but my experience was poor.
A combination of distance, number of walls and pass through and interference by other electrical gadgets like microwaves and WiFi installations.
My set was operating on the 2.4GHz band.

TV Sender
I have a Samsung Virgin Media cable box in the lounge and want to watch cable upstairs.
Not too bothered about the remote control working upstairs, easy enough to set the channel I want to see then go to bed.
Tried one that is meant to work with Cable from Argos, but did not for £40
Don’t really want to spend £££’s on a Digisender Gold as this is overkill.
Anyone got a Sender working on a Samsung cable box?
Plan B – get a bog standard £20 sender, feed through the video and keep video on instead.Tags: None
