Freeware upload facility

Used a really good freeware php multiple file upload facility once, looked on web recently and can't seem to find it. Uploads are all limited one file things or not free. Anyone got a link to a decent one that's easy to use given that anything hosting side ranks among the mysteries of the gods to me. It's for a village website.
