The BOSE sounddock ipod speakers are remarkable. I was quite amazed by the volume and quality of sound that is produced by such a small and thin device. Only the bass level fell slightly short of my expectations, but like I said, the thing is miniature, what can you expect.

I have an Altec Lansing IM7 which is good value at around £90 IMO. Depends how mobile you need them to be as these are quite big items. Great sound though.
