    Generic versions of the print cartridge will be available, sometimes at less than half the price of the branded ones. Try here for your model of printer. They are fast and reliable.

    It's quite staggering really when you think about it. You'd think it would be possible to make the replacement ink a lot cheaper, save chucking out servicable kit.

    I have tried these without any real improvement, I'll probably run the self-clean once more then buy a cartridge if the colour is still poor (£25!! last time I looked).

    OK, it's probably a no-brainer to replace the colour cartridge (altho the built-in display is saying it's not yet-empty at about a quarter full).

    Just wondered if there is any other possible cause?? Thanks.
