That powweb looks interesting, especially all the apps that can be installed. Mind you £3/mo is £36 a year, whereas the other one is £20 a year. Also, looking at my current usage I'm using 151Mb of storage and have only used 90Mb of bandwidth so far this month.

    Cheers for the pointer.
I have a number of subdomains that I play about with, so that I can see what I want to be doing, try things out etc. etc. and then move them onto the right place when they are ready to go live.

I also use some of the secure space as backup for files.

The bandwidth and space is a lot smaller than you could get for a little bit more.

MySQL is a powerful database engine designed to provide fast access to stored / dynamic data. It can be unlimited i.e. as much space you have with your package.

I couldn't get to that site.

What bandwidth, storage, email, other options do they offer?

I use PowWeb on UNIX - they are currently offering $5.77 a month (roughly £3 or so a month) for one or two years registration, with 300GB disk space and 3000GB a month bandwidth. Up to 75 MySQL databases included in the price too. So far (touch wood), no major problems in three years.

Esteemed panel, has anyone experience of http://www.webhosting.uk.com/linux-hosting.php ?

Their prices look good on the basic package i.e. £20 a year with PHP4\5 and MySQl support, apparently unlimited number of databases.

Or does anyone know of a better deal?

Working...
