PS - Cojak Ltd. Has an honourable mention in the 'thanks' section of Service Transition.

Not sure that they know what they want. It sounds like someone has told them about v3.

It's too vague for us to be of much use. It could be in Service Design or Service Transition but you really need to start with Service Strategy...

I think they could be ITIL deliverables but could be process or infrastructure mapping - the request makes no sense at the moment.

Suggest to the boss that the ejit who asked him write up a Product Description explaining what he wants, why he wants it and who is going to use it.

Then you'll either get clarity or silence...

Sorry - can't be of more help.

Operational Design, when used with "a new service" sounds ok, as does Operational Process although the terms are a bit vague.

If he is looking at a new service, he will want to identify support model, SLAs (and any OLAs) monitoring reqts, governance etc etc etc....

I am only guessing as the question does not give much info.....

This is more covered in ITIL v3...Service Strategy, Service Design etc etc

I've heard Operational Design to be Technical Design (Architecture design etc) which takes in detailed operational setups of everything - service names, build specs etc...

Operational Process is a new one though... pretty generic term, could mean lots of things...

Has anyody heard of these terms before, any ideas before we do the obvious and get the guy to explain exactly what he means.
Is the company gonna go through some kind of re-org?

This is in relation to a test environment, not even a complete service.
