Not an area I know anything about as is obvious, just assumed they had hijacked my script after reading some articles on the net. Perhaps a wrong assumption. Ta for comments.

Are you sure that the mails are originationg from the IP that is your mail server, they could just be putting your e-mail address in the reply-to field.

Securing mailer
A few weeks back it was clear some bastards were using the mailer on my business website as I was getting a lot of returned mail. Stopped most of it by changing name and location and upgrading to more secure version of dodos mail , but am still getting the occasional return mail. Really don't want to complicate usage by using captcha.
