    Try Asus...I'm sure they are actually made by Compaq or someone like that...I've got one and it has so far proven to be better than the Toshiba I had previously...

    Seconded - you can also do a bit more detailed search on their own site,

    I managed to bag a bargain here - about 2k worth of laptop for 1200 quid.

    However, do your research - a guy I know bought quite a recent model for a reasonable price from the outlet store, but on checking the "full" retail price a few days after delivery he realised it wasn't that much of a deal - about 3% discount.

    Although desktops/laptops always came from Dell, my Insight account manager would always give me comparable quotes of HP kit which were suprisingly competitive.

    I have no experience of HP laptops, but going on price/specification, they look quite good.
