Previously I interviewed with AWS and they were loving the fact that I have a bunch of them. The interviewer went bonkers at me when I said, "Of course it's just a bit of paper really. I only did them to get past the recruiters."

Apparently they help 'build respect amongst your peers....'

ROI can be questionable but, as with any certification, it helps to get your CV past the first level numpty who doesn't know what they're looking for.

They do! It is one of the filtering criteria if the supply (CV) is more, even though certification != skilled
